Ross Human expects 19% rise in H1 profit

Ross Human Directions Ltd expects to report a 19 per cent increase in first half profit as the recruitment agency concentrated on higher yielding businesses while keeping costs and debt levels low.

Net profit for the six months to December 31 will be between $2.75 million and $2.85 million compared with $2.303 million a year earlier, Sydney-based Ross Human said in a statement on Friday.

"The company has concentrated on business with reasonable profit yields whilst controlling its cost base and debt levels," chief executive Julia Ross said in the statement.

"It is difficult at this stage to predict profits moving forward but we will continue to be prudent and concentrate on these strategies."
