How can I do skills testing on-line?
Your skills level in areas such as call centre operations, word processing, and other computer skills can be tested at your convenience on line. Using the My Resources link for the type of test you want to do, and follow the instructions from there.

How can I improve my computer skills?
JuliaRoss offers free training and up-skilling for all our temporaries and candidates. You can book to come in to our offices and do it at your convenience either during the day, after work or on the weekend.

How do I find out about my pay?
As a registered candidate, click here to login to complete your timesheets, review your pay details, and profile. Your wages are paid into your nominated bank account on the Wednesday following the week you worked, as long as your timesheet was submitted to us in time. If you are with a credit union your wages will be available on the Thursday. As part of our Privacy commitment, we remind you to keep your wages details confidential. Please do not discuss your wages with work colleagues or with clients.

How do I submit my timesheet?

For Australia
Candidates, including contractors and those who are incorporated companies, have the following options available to send their timesheets to Payroll:

  • Web Timesheets
    As a registered candidate, click here to login to complete your timesheets, review your pay details, and profile.
  • E-mail Timesheets
    Complete your timesheet and have it approved by the Client.  Then scan your timesheet and e-mail it to either TempTimesheetsJRoss@rossjuliaross.com (for Julia Ross/Ross Specialist) or to TempTimesheetsRossIT@rossjuliaross.com (for Ross Information Technology)
  • Fax Timesheets
    If you do not have access to a PC, you can fax your timesheet to 02 9223 1222.
  • Electronic Upload
    Timesheets should be entered and approved at the Client site and electronically uploaded into FastTime e.g. Elance for EDS.

What are the timesheet submission deadlines?

Listed below are the deadlines for timesheet submission

  • Julia Ross And Ross Specialist have a Wednesday payday for a pay period of Monday-Sunday. Timesheets at Temp Payroll are due by 9:00 am Monday AEST.
  • Ross Information Technology have a Friday payday for a pay period of Monday-Sunday. Timesheets at Temp Payroll (incl. fortnightly pays) are due by 5:00 pm Monday AEST.

Timesheets received after these deadlines will be processed in the next available payrun.

 

How does JuliaRoss protect my personal information?
We comply with all legislated Privacy requirements. Please see our Privacy Policy link on the Home Page.

Does JuliaRoss offer services for diversity recruitment?
Yes. All our offices are disability-friendly with wheelchair access. We have a number of clients with whom we regularly place diversity candidates. Many of our consultants are multi-lingual. We also have especially trained consultants in the various areas of diversity recruitment. We have received awards for our proactive work in this field.
If I’m doing a temporary or contract assignment for RossJuliaRoss, who pays my tax?
When you’re working at a client for us, you’re one of our employees. That means within Australia you’re covered by us for Worker’s Compensation and Superannuation, and we also pay your weekly income tax for you. At the end of the financial year, we’ll send you a Group Certificate to put with your Tax Return. In New Zealand and Asia, we also will cover any legislated employe benefits. In the UK, our temporaries are covered for PAYE and NI.
What are some of the do’s and don’ts of doing temporary/contract work for RossJuliaRoss?
Whether on an assignment for one day or one month or ongoing, please remember we are your employer. Contact us immediately if you have any questions, queries or concerns regarding your assignment.

When you’re placed in an assignment on a client site you’re representing RossJuliaRoss. As an employee, always ensure that: 

  • Personal calls are kept to a minimum and preferably only be made in emergency situations.
  • Always remember to turn your mobile phone off – it is a work hazard and can interfere with the client’s electronic equipment.
  • If you are granted e-mail/internet access, it is to be utilised for work purposes only – don’t send personal emails or access non-work-related websites.
  • Always present yourself in a professional manner.
  • If you are unwell, please call your consultant prior to your start time to ensure that our Client can be advised. We are open late and have a 24-hour pager facility so you can contact us at anytime.
  • Last but not least, keep a smile on your face and have a friendly flexible attitude. This can often result in your assignment being extended or asked to return at a later date.


Who do I contact if I need help?
Your consultant is always there to help you. If they are unavailable one of our other trained staff will always able to assist with your needs.
